On The Spot Beauty Bar is a private home studio spa that was created through my passion of beauty and well-being. We are a fully licensed and Green Pass certified spa business. The beauty bar's mission is to provide high end beauty services and spa atmosphere without the high end costs.

Our most popular services include Microneedling, Microblading, Botox, Dermal Fillers Microdermabrasion, Spray Tans and Glycolic Peels. All services are safe and performed in a clean, sanitary, relaxing environment by appointment.

What inspired you to start your own business? I have been in the beauty industry for over 30 years in various forms from working in a salon to modelling for various consumer based beauty products to have been featured on The Shopping Channel, music videos, TV series, and many other projects. I enjoy helping both women and men achieve their best version of themselves using professional and medical beauty treatments without the high end costs.

What helped you when working with BACD and how did it impact you and your business? What helped me was the on-going support and direction of how to better track your services in order to see what was working and what wasn’t. This allowed me to see my growth and overall vision I have for the future.

Tell us about the growth of your business. My business has grown as I have a Nurse Practitioner and a Lash Technologist that does our lash services.

What marketing strategies have been successful for you? I have found using a marketing expert with Facebook ads and Instagram has helped build my brand, being consistent with my posts has also helped to drive traffic. I have also worked with a business mentor to brainstorm ideas and concepts.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own business? The first bit of advice I would give to someone wanting to start their own business is to ask yourself how invested are you going to be. Growth, success and monetary reward isn’t instant and successful companies take time and usually your own funds to start. I would also say to know your business and what is needed to start it. The beauty industry itself requires a lot of due diligence and many levels of regulation in order to get off the ground, so making sure to have that checked off the list first will avoid any delays in getting things started.

Don’t look at failures as a bad thing, look at them as growth opportunities and if you are truly passionate about what you do, success will follow.
